There's nothing like a great show to make you feel alive again. Last night I was lucky enough to see Disturbed and Killswitch Engage at the Izod Center in New Jersey. I love nothing more than the gathering of the most degenerate humans on earth at every metal show I attend. Only 10% of metal fans are female, but I feel at home at these sort of concerts. There is no better, more uplifting feeling that hearing a great band play live on stage, especially if it's the first time you're seeing them. In this case, I have seen both of these bands before but they're both amazing enough to see over and over again.

In case anyone isn't aware, frustration, grief, and stress are alleviated in no better way than by being in a mosh pit. I got to push a kid wearing joker makeup. It was glorious, but I got my karma when a 200 pound man was dropped onto my head while crowdsurfing. I felt like I had just sniffed a gallon tub of white out and nearly passed out.

It was all worth it.
